About BFF Bernedoodles
Our Philosophy
We are Guy & Shelly, both retired and living in Southern California. We started this journey with wanting to share the love of this wonderful breed. Our love of all dogs brought us to this moment. We felt we needed to wait until retirement to be able to give 100% of our time to raising the best dogs and puppies. We have a great hobby farm, dogs, chickens, gardens, and plenty of fresh air on 2 acres of land for the puppies to grow and explore.
BFF Bernedoodles follows the 8 + week BAB (Bad Ass Breeder Program). A puppy curriculum guide that focuses on the health of mom and puppies as well the socialization of puppies. BAB includes Early Neurological Stimulation Exercises, Early Scent Introduction, Transitional Period, Awareness Identification Period, and Puppy Evaluations. All documentation is given to potential families to help choose the puppy that best suits their needs as well as the puppy's needs. We also focus on the Misty Method of potty training which uses the puppies own instinct to not potty where they sleep. We use litter trays with artificial grass for training inside and out.
Making sure the parents and puppies are healthy, we have all dogs and puppies genetically tested through Embark. We also use a Reproductive Specialist Vet for examination, ultrasound, and x-rays. They work in conjunction with our local mobile vet who oversees vaccinations and puppy exams.
We are unique in the fact that we are a small family owned business that only has a few litters each year. We are committed to growing slowly so that each dog and every litter receives the care, individualized attention, and socialization needed.
